As you are aware we are living in unprecedented times. Fear is running rampant in our society.
FEAR of illness
FEAR of lack
FEAR of war
FEAR of people, even family, friends, neighbors and co-workers
FEAR, FEAR, FEAR all being created by the mainstream media news.
Fear is intended to motivate us into action, You know that internal feeling of doom and gloom, the dreaded feeling of terror. FEAR has a duty of putting your instinct on high alert!
Healthy fear is a warning of imminent danger. For example, walking down the street at 2am and suddenly feeling terrified that someone is following you. This is healthy fear, PAY ATTENTION!
Unhealthy fears can manifest into holding us back from the life we desire. For example, remaining in a particular lifestyle because it is your comfort zone. Many people prefer to live in comfort, even when they are miserable. It takes courage to break out into a new way of life!
Fear is a like a bully, when challenged it disappears like a coward. Unhealthy fear only has substance if we cannot rise to overcome it.
Perhaps the 1st step to overcoming fear is to look at your fear logically. If the fear threatens your safety, take note of that for your protection. If the fear is rising to block you from something that would benefit your life, you can rise to the challenge by summoning the courage you need to feel the fear and do it anyway.
Eleanor Roosevelt was quoted as saying, "We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot."
Suggested mantra to help face your fear …
I am courageous, I am peaceful, I am living a life of freedom!
