Personally I have led quite a diverse life thus far on this Earth! I was fortunate enough to be employed in a rewarding career that gave me business experience in the manufacturing industry relating to the areas of Finance Accounting, Information System Management, Human Resources, and Customer Service. After working decades in that sector, my career took a turn into Motel Management which I found to be the most appealing of my life long employment.
There was a time when the pressures of life took me out of the workforce. It was then that I plummeted into poverty and had to find my way around this world with minimal funds. Little did I realize (during that time of my life) that the experience and knowledge gained through this journey could be extremely beneficial to the average person trying to survive in the world today.
It appears the world is set to force most of the population into poverty regardless of how hard us, the people try to stay ahead of astronomical increasing living expenses. The current news is dire, our living expenses are skyrocketing and the wages are not keeping up.
Who believes that history has a way of repeating? I have lived through the recession in the 1980's while at the beginning of my career, working in the big city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Although I do have some great tips on how to create useful product from relatively inexpensive ingredients, I do not have the golden experience of my grandparents living through the last great depression.
I remember my grandmother talking to me about her living through the last great depression that ran from 1929 to 1939, with relief beginning to show in the year of 1933. Interesting fact, both my parents were born in the year 1932. Oh how difficult it must have been for my grandparents to raise their children in a depression!
As my grandmother told me stories of the depression, it did not mean much to me. After all, times were good and I was fairly young, not really getting the importance of the information being sent my way.
It's been almost 100 years since that depression and it is beginning to look like we the people might be facing such dire economic times in the near future. The difference now is ... most of us are completely reliant on purchasing our supplies in the stores.
Do we know how to grow a garden and harvest a garden?
Do we know how to hunt the land?
Do we really know any survival skills?
Do we know how to filter water making it safe to drink?
Do we know how to live without electricity?
We are so reliant on the system to provide our needs, it is a scary thought to realize just how far we have ventured from our ancestors that knew how to survive with these basic skills.
In my opinion, sharing the knowledge I gathered living through poverty can be beneficial to anyone wanting to stretch their earnings. You can actually purchase product NOW in preparation BEFORE the prices skyrocket (if they ever do, and it certainly is showing signs of getting worse).
Stay tuned for many tips & tricks that I turned to in my days of poverty. They just might help your family stretch your earnings in the NOW. The added bonus is you can replace many, many toxic products like household cleaners, personal products, laundry soaps, dryer sheets, etc. with natural, safe alternatives!
