#02 ROADMAP TO HEALTH...Sleep Issues

The sleep issues mentioned in my last post has been quite the journey. When melatonin became useless in helping me, I weaned myself off. A natural med doctor told me that even though they are not helping me, it was important to take the time to reduce the meds slowly, else it could cause convulsions. It really did not disturb my sleep to stop taking them, they were no longer working, and my sleep was already disturbed to a great degree.
Someone mentioned THC gummies and I gave it a great deal of thought and research. Marijuana is a gift from Mother Earth and it was decided to give it a try. This worked for a few years, but in the end, again it was not working. I found myself waking in the night, not able to fall back to sleep, taking more gummies.
Again, I was faced with finding alternate solutions. My research led me herbal tea. I began drinking herbal tea before bed. It took a long time to figure what worked best but I now drink a mixture of ... Chamomile, Linden, and Valerian Root.
The tea helped, but I needed to find something more. Researching magnesium I discovered the type of Bisglycinate powder had relaxing effects. This is now taken with my tea every night (separately, it tastes awful LOL).
Remember, my sleep disturbances are now 30+ years old. This is not an easy journey. Up pops information on grounding sheets. Back to the research, they are somewhat expensive. YouTube offers many videos on "how to" make your own.
Gathering all the product for the sheet, I handmade my own. Must say I am very pleased with the results. It not only helps sleep, but many added health benefits.
There were still times my sleep was disturbed for various reasons. I made a magnesium chloride spray that is used IF I wake during the night and cannot get back to sleep.
Honestly, I still wake many times during the night, but rarely do I need the magnesium spray anymore. My sleep has definitely reached a higher quality than before!
