CHANGING

People, in general, choose to fight against change for many reasons. When they lose a job, they feel angry, let down or confused. When they lose a spouse, they are devastated. When they lose anything, they can become paralyzed with fear. It is like they have built a brick wall in front of them and cannot seem to move through the situation.
Please understand that I am not talking about ignoring grief. It is important to grieve when you lose something in life that has been cherished. What I am suggesting you do is begin to think outside the box, open yourself to allow new perceptions of life.
Even a small peak outside your box will likely bring to surface many fears of why you should shut that lid and remain in that box. Now, if you are savvy enough to ignore your fear and look around you just may find a previously unseen opportunity knocking at your door!
When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us. ~~Alexander Graham Bell~~

During major changes, it is no secret you have found yourself in very difficult circumstances. You can choose to crumble, fall and declare how unfair life is treating you or you can gather the strength you need to move forward. It takes optimism and courage to stop right where you are and take a good look around. I mean, really look around to see what opportunities could be available to you. You can do this by daring to look outside the box and make a decision to find a way into a better life.
You may think this is great news and go forward with your own determination, will and drive to get out of the box. With much excitement you may begin to talk about your new found positive attitude to seek out a new beginning. To your surprise, your closest friends and family members may begin to birth your internal fears with their good intentions of “helping” you stay in “reality”. They’ll point out all the “what ifs” and you may quickly find yourself falling right back into the box of “doom and gloom”.
Doom and gloom can possibly open a floodgate to your worst fears. At this point you may find your internal mechanism bringing you to an abrupt stop!
Now what? It is time to look fear in the face. Fear is nothing more than a bully. Turn and face a bully and they will run for their life. Turn on that green light and GO FOR IT!
