INTRODUCTION to INTERMITTENT FASTING

Updated: Apr 18

This entire website is about natural ways of healing. I personally do not believe in pharmaceutical medicine mainly because many of the pills prescribed are to be taken regularly and forever, with nasty side effects and never does the medicine cure your health issue.

It is my belief we need to look deeper into our health issues. For instance, pain indicates some sort of problem in your physical body. In no way at all am I suggesting you self diagnose your health issues, there is a time and place to visit a medical professional for diagnosis and help. What I am suggesting is that there are many minor health issues that can be easily treated with natural alternative methods. For example:

  1. Headache (sudden and not regular) - often is a sign of something in your body that either needs healing, your immune system (liver) could be detoxing your body causing the headache or it could be emotional, most often a stressful situation presenting itself. For instance, a hangover can cause a headache because your body is overloaded with alcoholic beverages which indeed is toxic. Chronic headaches could be a sign of serious health issues which (of course) should be diagnosed by a medical professional.

  2. Difficulty urinating (sudden and not regular) - often a sign of urinary tract infection (UTI). While many people run to the doctor for antibiotics, just as I did in my younger years, there is a simpler remedy with little side effects...100% cranberry juice. Something in your body is overloading your kidneys/bladder causing bacterial growth. This often happens to me when I drink fresh lemon water to flush my system. Again, chronic problems with your kidney/bladder should be diagnosed by a medical professional.

The list could go on forever, but surely you understand the point. I am past my mid-sixties in my age and have never taken regular/daily pharmaceutical medicine for ailments. It was my choice to figure out other alternative measures. For instance, when my doctor diagnosed me with the onset of Type II Diabetes over a decade ago I chose to change my entire lifestyle. My theory is, something created the illness, therefore, figure out what that is and change THAT. Just like a hangover, the solution to eliminating hangovers is to stop the intake of alcoholic beverages.

We are bombarded with toxins in our daily lives in the world today. Our food is poisoned with pesticides, our water is polluted and cleaned with chemicals, our air is loaded with further toxins, our cleaning products contain toxins, our shampoos, soaps, deodorants, toothpastes, mouthwash, etc. are also full of toxins. Do your research with the list of ingredients in these products. It has been literally been decades since I purchased these toxic products from a store. More information on making natural products will be forthcoming on this blog as it continues to be populated, check back often!

The point I am trying to make is, as I have aged into my mid-sixties it has become more difficult to keep my body in prime condition regardless of my attempts to eat and drink properly, to keep my intake natural on all levels and to find the proper solutions for the list of health ailments beginning to surface in my body. It was then suggested to me to research intermittent fasting and of course, I immediately did just that.

There are thousands of success stories from people that have solved their health issues with fasting. Not just minor health issues, but some with very serious, life threating health problems. If you are interested in learning more go ahead and google this subject, you will not be disappointed!

I have begun my personal journey with "Intermittent Fasting" and will will be documenting the details of fasting with weekly progress and how it is affecting my health.

Feel free to read about my fasting journey here:

"Intermittent fasting is any of various meal timing schedules that cycle between voluntary fasting and non-fasting over a given period. Methods of intermittent fasting include alternate-day fasting, periodic fasting, such as the 5:2 diet, and daily time-restricted eating." ~~Wikipedia
