TEA - Sooth a Sore Throat

This recipe claims to help sore throats and chest colds.  It makes about 2 cups you can store in fridge for up to 3 months!

RECIPE:

  • Two lemons thoroughly cleaned and sliced

  • Two pieces of ginger about the size of your pointer and middle fingers; sliced into coin sizes

  • One cup of honey (non-pasturized)

  • One TSP cinnamon (optional)

  • In a 12 – 16 ounce jar combine lemon and ginger slices

  • Slowly pour honey over slices

  • Make sure there is enough honey to cover all the slices and holes (add more honey if needed)

  • Close the jar and put in the refrigerator

  • This mixture will turn into “jelly”

TO SERVE:

  • Spoon jelly into a cup and pour boiling water over it

  • Once cooled a bit, sip as needed
